Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, dropped out of high school and moved in Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. Even though she had financial difficulties, her 2001 debut was in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. After earning a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal in Murder In Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace was able to take home the award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 as well as sharing the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) alongside her. Grace was forced to quit the show in order to focus on her film career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog back in 2005. The actress has also appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 as well as in Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised the role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the leading role in Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern take on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in Lost, including the finale. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the 6th Season. The role she plays is Faith as a girl who acts as a muse to the stars, and draws the attention to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Part of the Gyllenhaal family She is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and is the younger sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began when she was a teenager, playing small appearances in his films. She also appeared alongside her brother in the famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned her Golden Globe Award nods. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following many highly successful movies, such as World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. As a single mom in Crazy Heart (2009) she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent for Secret Service in White House Down 2013, as a singer for Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared as a singer in Frank 2014 and as a singer in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, where she portrays the title character. Gyllenhaal started her career as a director, screenwriter and script writer, when she wrote and directed her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at The Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by the Academy Award.
